Galicia Graves Double bass Festival was created in 2014 in order to enjoy and learn about our instrument with some of the best bass players worldwide.

 

It is aimed at students, amateurs and professionals of all ages and abilities with the instrument.

 

Despite its short existence have given masterclasses and recitals artists like Barry Green, Thierry Barbé, Teppo Hauta-aho, Gabriele Ragghianti, David Heyes, Michael Klinghoffer,Giorgi Makhosvili,Diego Zecharies, Szymon Marciniak, Claus Freudenstein, Emilio Yepes, Stephan Bauer, Carlos Mendez, Simon Garcia, Juan Cañada and Marina Pacowsky, among others.

FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES

During the Galicia Graves International Festival and Competition, the participants can take lessons with the guest teachers, double bass ensemble
lessons, lessons for beginners, masterclasses. In addition to all this, every participant can assist to many concerts and
recitals from the guest artists and play ensembles an the last evening closing concert.

The Galicia Graves International Double bass Festival & Competition has a specific program for young bassists, which will be couched by
renowned double bass pedagogues.

 

2019 Galicia Graves Double bass Festival will be the dates 30 & 31 March, 2019.

WHERE WE ARE

Since its foundation the Galicia Graves International Double bass Festival & Competition is placed at Culleredo Conservatory of Music in A Coruna.

 

 

DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF PARTICIPATION

The Galicia Graves International Double bass Festival offers different categories of participation to suit all the students needs:

 

- Individual lessons.

 

- Individual lessons plus ensembles.

 

- Auditor.

 

- Auditor plus ensembles.

 

- Young Bassist.
